In this class, you’ll create three mixed media cards using simple, repeatable techniques that build confidence with every layer. Each project focuses on a different approach to color, texture, and composition so you can take what you learn and use it again and again.
Ink Smooshing + Paint Lift Technique
Learn how to build rich backgrounds using ink smushing, water play, and a paint resist technique. We’ll focus on depth, soft texture, and letting layers do the work without overthinking every step.
Balanced Layers with Rub-Ons
This card is all about composition and restraint. You’ll learn how to use sprays, subtle stamping, and rub-ons to create visual interest while still leaving room for the design to breathe.
Spray Layers & Cluster Focal Point
Explore bold spray layering, texture paste, and focal point clusters to create a finished, cohesive design. You’ll learn how to bring multiple elements together without the background feeling too busy.

No. This class is designed so you can jump right in, even if this is your first mixed media class. I break everything down into simple, manageable steps, and I always share alternatives so you can use what you already have.
Is this class beginner friendly?
Yes. If mixed media feels intimidating, this class is for you. The focus is on approachable processes, layering with intention, and building confidence without overthinking or trying to be perfect.
What if I can’t attend the live class?
No problem at all. You’ll have lifetime access to the replay inside your Podia classroom, so you can watch anytime, pause, rewind, and revisit the lessons whenever you need a creative reset.
Do I need to buy specific supplies?
No. I always encourage you to use your stash. I share what I’m using, along with substitutions and alternatives, so you can adapt the techniques with what you already own.
How long will I have access to the class?
