When is the class?
The live class will take place on January 24th at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time.
What is Backgrounds Reimagined?
Backgrounds Reimagined is a live cardmaking class designed to help you take the backgrounds you already have and turn them into finished cards with confidence. Instead of learning new techniques, this class focuses on helping you understand what a background needs and how to move forward without overthinking.
How is this class different from your previous Backgrounds Reimagined class?
The original Backgrounds Reimagined class focused more on specific ways to finish cards, such as using certain stamps, die cuts, or layouts.
This new class is about the foundation behind finishing cards. We focus on how to look at a background, decide what type of card it’s best for, choose a focal point, and know when to stop. It’s less about what technique to use and more about how to make decisions with confidence.
Will we be making backgrounds in this class?
No. This class is all about using backgrounds you already have in your stash. That might be alcohol ink, sprays, gel prints, watercolor, or even patterned paper. The goal is to finish cards, not create new backgrounds from scratch.
Do I need specific supplies?
No. You do not need exact products or special tools. This class is designed to work with whatever you already own. I’ll help you think through your supplies based on the types of cards you want to make, not based on what I’m using.
Is this class beginner friendly?
Yes. If you’re newer to cardmaking, this class will give you a simple framework to follow. If you’ve been crafting for years, it will help you stop second guessing yourself and start finishing cards more easily.
Will I actually finish cards during the class?
Yes. The goal is to help you finish around 15 to 20 usable cards during the class. That includes birthday cards, encouragement cards, masculine cards, sympathy cards, and more.
What if I can’t attend live?
Free attendees will have 48 hour replay access. If you upgrade to lifetime access, you can rewatch the class anytime.
Do I need to copy your cards exactly?
Not at all. You are always welcome to follow along, but the goal is to help you understand the process so you can apply it to your own style, supplies, and backgrounds.
